Stephen Chbosky
Stephen Chbosky is the author of Perks of Being a Wallflower. He was born January 25, 1970 Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and graduated from University of Southern California's Filmic Writing Program. His first film was The Four Corners of Nowhere, which premiered at the 1995 Sundance Film Festival. It won Best Narrative Feature honors at the Chicago Underground Film Festival. Stephen wrote Perks of Being a Walflower to influence the life of teenagers in highschool. Though the book was written in 1999, the screenplay came out in 2012 and was only pg 13. The reason for this was because he wanted 13 year olds who he felt needed to see the movie to be able to.
